Tour to the Ötztal glaciers
Follow Gurglerstarße from Obergurgl to Sölden, from there a 13km long road will lead you up to Rettenbach glacier. From Rettenbach glacier East Tyrol's highest panorama road will take you through the Rosi-Mittermaier tunnel to Tiefenbach glacier.
Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road
If you've been here once you will never forget this tour: Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road is without a doubt one of the Alps' most beautiful pass roads. On your way from Ötztal over the pass (situated at over 2,500m altitude), and all the way to Passeier Tal valley, a unique panorama will accompany you. The more than 60 thrilling bends will stir every biker's blood. As you ride, take a break at one of the lookout points to take in the stunning landscape of the Eastern Alps' highest pass road.
South Tyrol tour
Take the 60km tour from Obergurgl to Merano via Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road and then further south. The city invites you to gorgeous breaks with Mediterranean flair and welcoming street cafes. The tour continues via Gampenpass and Mendelpass to Bozen and from there to Sarntal, Pensertal and Penserjoch and finally to Sterzing. The South Tyrol tour is then completed via Jaufenpass before you return to your starting point via Timmelsjoch.
Bike along the Ötztal and you will reach Oetz, from where a fork will take you towards Kühtai. Continue via the famous Kühtai-Sattel and then through the settlements of Gries in Sellrain, Axams, Götzens, Mutters and Matrai to eventually reach, via the Brenner, Italy. Return to Obergurgl via Sterzing, St. Leonard and the Timmelsjoch.
